A successful Senior Social Media Account Manager will excel at the following:
 
Strategy

  • Advise clients on overall social strategies
  • Support a First Cut Session with a client, including taking thorough notes and contributing to the conversation
  • Develop and deliver a strategy document to a client
  • Evaluate, prioritize, and predict clients’ needs and have a clear understanding of what success means to them

Social Media

  • Develop content and calendars for a variety of social media platforms, including creative campaigns
  • Create, execute, manage, and analyze social media advertising campaigns
  • Proficiency in using and discussing social media tools including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and more
  • Effectively manage organic social media campaigns for clients, including community development, community engagement, content development, and reporting and analytics
  • Develop and maintain a consistent tone and voice per client, per channel
  • Regularly report and analyze the performance of social campaigns, both organic and paid

 

Project Management

  • Have a clear understanding of client budgets and deadlines and meet both regularly
  • Deliver thorough, detailed, and relevant project management updates with clients and in team meetings
Research

  • Research clients’ competitors, industries, trends, influencers, and media targets every day to identify opportunities
  • Source and obtain approval for content from a variety of sources, including user-generated content and third party content
  • Stay on top of and share social media trends

 

Integration
  • Work with public relations and social media account teams to identify opportunities for integration
  • Leverage content marketing to support public relations and social media efforts
