Interns will be performing the following tasks:
 
Public Relations
  • Assist with public relations campaigns on wide-ranging local, state, and national issues that align with the company’s community outreach initiatives.
  • Draft and develop press materials, i.e. press releases, media alerts, bylined articles
  • Identify speaking opportunities and award submissions for clients
  • Other tasks include: media monitoring; media list building; coordinating, pitching, and conducting community outreach; managing media partners; coordinating media interviews
  • Support the agency's integrated marketing efforts

 

Skills and attributes interns are expected to have:
  • Strategic and critical thinking ability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong editing and note-taking skills
  • Willingness to consistently learn and grow by asking pertinent questions
  • Knowledge of social media channels, i.e. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest, etc.
  • Energy and desire to come up with fresh ideas and creating content to get clients noticed
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work a minimum of 16 hours per week

Compensation

  • $100/month travel stipend
